Milestones on record
These entries are drawn from our Impact Report 2023–2026. We publish the hard parts too, because a funder who only ever hears good news eventually stops believing any of it.

An injured cow whose tail had been bitten off by street dogs was seen wandering nearby. Sevaks searched for two or three days without success. She then came to the gaushala herself and sat down. Hari Kishan ji treated her; she recovered and remains with us.

Cooked-food distribution to families living near the shelter began running alongside the cattle work, supported by volunteers.
Conditions in East Delhi could not support a growing herd. The cattle were moved to a site in Jhajjar district, Haryana, where a proper shelter, water system and open ground could be built.
Groundwater at the new site did not suit the animals and affected their health. For several months water was brought in from outside every single day for roughly 65 cows, without adequate storage. It was exhausting and costly, and we have said so plainly in our own report rather than quietly leave it out.
Construction of permanent underground water storage began — the fix that ended the daily water crisis for good.
Heavy rain and strong wind destroyed the wooden-and-tin shelter built for the cattle. It was rebuilt in steel with proper roofing and shade netting, prioritising the animals' safety over cost.
A cow in our care died. We recorded it, and we performed her last rites with dignity — an obligation set out in our founding document.
Burial and respectful last rites for cattle that die of age or injury became a documented part of our operations rather than an occasional act.
