Legal & compliance

Every certificate we hold, downloadable, with the registration numbers you can verify independently on government portals.

Read this first. Our 12A and 80G approvals are provisional, granted on 19 August 2023 and valid from assessment year 2024-25 to assessment year 2026-27. Under the terms of the order we must apply for regular registration before that period expires. We say so here rather than let a donor discover it later.

Registrations

Every certificate, with the number you can check yourself.

Greyed entries are registrations we do not currently hold. We list them so there is no ambiguity.

Questions we get asked

Compliance, plainly

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. We hold provisional 80G approval (URN AAKCG5525HF20231), so donations are eligible for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, for assessment years 2024-25 to 2026-27. We issue a receipt with our PAN on it. Please share your PAN when you donate so the deduction can be claimed correctly.
What does "Section 8 company" mean for my money?
A Section 8 company is a not-for-profit incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. Our licence conditions prohibit paying any dividend, bonus or profit to members, and require that all income and property be applied solely to promoting our stated objects. On winding up, remaining assets cannot be distributed to members — they must go to another organisation with similar objects. Those are legal constraints, not promises.
Can you accept foreign donations?
No. We do not hold FCRA registration, so we cannot legally accept foreign contributions. If you are an Indian citizen living abroad donating from an NRO/NRE account, please write to us first so we can confirm the position for your specific case.
Can we route CSR funds to you?
CSR contributions under Section 135 of the Companies Act require the implementing agency to be registered with the MCA via Form CSR-1. We are preparing this filing and will publish the registration number here the moment it is issued. Until then, corporates can still support us through direct donations, in-kind giving (fodder, medicines, construction material) and employee-engagement programmes. See the CSR page.
Where are your audited accounts?
Our Articles require that accounts be examined at least once every year by a qualified auditor. Audited financial statements, ITR acknowledgements and annual reports are published on the Transparency page as each year is signed off.
Who do I contact about compliance?
Write to gopalasatvik@gmail.com or call +91 95997 93972. For due diligence packs, CSR questionnaires or grant applications, tell us what format you need and we will complete it.
